Most plastics are derived from petroleum, which is our most valuable resource in many ways. It's also a resource that comes with a lot of negative environmental and social impacts.
Bioplastics made from annually renewable biomass offer a reduced carbon footprint and reduce our dependency on fossil-based resources. They also offer multiple end-of-life options. It’s safe, rigid and durable, perfect for utensil products.
Lots of people start to realize the plastic pollution, which is one the most serious threats to our environment, creating toxic exposure in every phase of its life cycle. But not many people aware about material of PLA, which is made from renewable resources and 100% bio-based. It helps to solve the problem of plastic waste .I would like to try my best to introduce this new material into more people’s life and reduce the harm of oil-based plastic products.
PLA is considered the most promising candidate to replace current plastics. It is biodegradable, thermoplastic, carbon neutral, doesn’t release toxic fumes when oxygenated. PLA is commercially available at industrial volumes from multiple large-scale plants across the globe. The development of cheaper and more environment friendly processes by which PLA is made should result in the decrease of its price in the market, leading to its more widespread application. This will be further aided by a growing environmentally conscious consumer base.
With the development of production technology, the production cost of PLA will be significantly reduced at industrial scales and very promising in the future plastic industry. That bring me a chance to discover more PLA products and make us live waste free.
